Mandatory human rights due diligence laws in Europe: A mirage for rightsholders?

Surya Deva will be the speaker of the talk “Mandatory human rights due diligence laws in Europe: A mirage for rightsholders?” that will take place on the 27th of April 2023 at 2pm CET.

Surya Deva is a Professor at the Macquarie Law School and Director of the Centre for Environmental Law. Deva is an internationally recognised scholar in the field of business and human rights. He served as a member of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights (2016-22). Deva has advised UN agencies, governments, national human rights institutions, multinational corporations, trade unions and civil society organisations on issues related to business and human rights. He also researches in the areas of comparative constitutional law (especially India and China), sustainable development, climate change, international human rights law, and gender equality.

The event will take place in Polo Piagge (University of Pisa), in ROOM Q1.
