REBALANCE coordinator Elisa Giuliani and her colleague from REMARC Simone D’Alessandro converse with one of the most relevant Italian unions about how to frame industrial policies to incentivize companies to respect human rights and the environment in the conduct of their business and as they pursue sustainable transition policies. This policy proposal is key for companies to arrive prepared to the EU Green Deal policies and, especially, to the Corporate sustainability due diligence directive that will ask Member States’ companies to comply with a due diligence duty to address negative human rights and environmental impacts.
