New Position as REBALANCE Project Manager

We are hiring a project manager to help us with the management and financial/timesheet accounting of our Horizon Europe REBALANCE Project – Rebalancing disruptive Business of multinAtional corporation and global value chAins within democratic and iNClusive citizenship processes, funded within the framework of the call “Protecting and nurturing democracies” for the period 2022-2025.

The REBALANCE project aims to study whether and how companies, especially large companies including multinational companies, are able to influence democratic processes. Part of the project is aimed at understanding the mechanisms through which companies can undermine even the most advanced democracies such as those in Europe, influencing economic, energy and industrial policy decisions, but also contributing to the retrogression of the rights of the social communities that gravitate around them. At the same time, the project will study the emergence of new forms of business that are able to strengthen democratic principles and establish themselves as business models that are promoters of more democratic models in the business world. REBALANCE will focus on these pioneering experiences with the aim of giving policy indications. The project will also create a permanent observatory on these issues which, among its functions, also has that of becoming an incubator of social enterprises that bring democracy.

The project started on 1 October 2022, is carried out by an international consortium, coordinated by the University of Pisa, and composed of seven partners: the Ca ‘Foscari University of Venice, the University of Stockholm, the Hertie School of Berlin, the Wageningen University in the Netherlands, the University of Bath in the United Kingdom, the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University in Kharkiv (Ukraine) and the NGO Source International.

The position is in Pisa, Italy. The deadline for applications is on the 11th November.
